This rum originates from Panama in Central America, a country that traditionally makes continuously distilled rum on sugar cane molasses, and this rum is no exception. The rum is distilled on local sugar cane, and is further matured in barrels that have previously contained whiskey from America. It is a classic Spanish-style rum from Panama produced at Varela Hermanos Rum Distillery.
Classic for its style, the rum is characterized by the barrels in which it has matured. Over the years, the heat, time and barrels have developed a deep and dark taste; dried fruits, caramelized sugar, vanilla, raisins and wood.
