Lifesick hails from Fredericia, Denmark, a city founded in 1650 as a fortress during war-torn times. Today, Denmark is peaceful, but Lifesick channels inner turmoil through their intense death-metallic hardcore. After releasing three increasingly heavy albums, their 2023 EP Love And Other Lies marked a new chapter, leading to the full-length Loved By None, Hated By All on Metal Blade. The band reflects on the album's title: "Sometimes it feels like the more you give, the more they take." The themes explore life's harshness, blending funeral doom’s dejection with punk aggression and death metal brutality. The lyrics are drawn from deeply personal struggles with mental health, addiction, and depression. "Every word is honest," says the band, emphasizing the importance of sharing one's darkest moments.

LEGACY OF MISERY (MUSIC VIDEO)

Loved By None, Hated By All was recorded at Dead Rat Studio with Jacob Bredahl, who not only engineered but also shaped the songs in rehearsals. Taylor Young handled mixing, and the noise collective John Cxnnor added industrial samples to unify the album’s vision. The result is Lifesick's most cohesive work, showcasing a refined yet powerful sound. The band aims to tour Denmark, Europe, and beyond, with a particular focus on the US, while encouraging open discussions around mental health through their music.
